Een Bib Gourmand voor Rotonde

We just got a Bib Gourmand! We are extremely excited to receive this appreciation from Michelingids after just one year of being open.

“We ourselves really enjoy doing what we do: creating a fun night out with great food and drinks in the most sustainable way possible,” says Jord, chef and one of the owners. “We can only do what we do because of the wonderful collaborations with farmers and other producers. In our restaurant, we are strong because our team shares our sustainable mission. Thank you!”

Owner Birk: “The fact that Michelin's inspectors can also appreciate that today is very special. After all, it has long been the case that the Guide did not give sustainability much attention.” Roy, also one of the owners, adds: “We are at the beginning of a food revolution. And many of the steps we are taking can also be taken by other companies. We encourage everyone to think about sustainability in every choice.”

Michelin writes on their website: “The chefs' sustainable vision is translated into plates full of creativity and surprise.” Werner Loens, selection director of the Michelin Guides in Benelux, adds: “Today, more than ever, the Bib Gourmand meets the expectations of the modern guest.”

The Bib Gourmand - named after Bibendum, the friendly Michelin Man (looking like a fat baby) and the company mascot - is a just-as-esteemed rating that recognizes friendly establishments that serve good food at moderate prices.
