In a state of deterioration, Het Industriegebouw (HIG) was bought in 2015 by investors from Rotterdam. When they bought it, this national monument of 22.000 m2 was practically empty. Hence, the idea to rebuild this iconic building back to its full potential was born. Near the end of 2019, the building is practically full with over 200 companies, a lively community of over 1000 professionals and a great diversity of hospitality and retail concepts of the highest quality. The renaissance of Het Industriegebouw is complete, and this has given the city of Rotterdam one more iconic spot to cherish.
